Laura Elliott serves as Geologist at Lago.  She has worked in the oil and gas industry for 25 years, playing a variety of roles.  Her specialties include integrated geoscience interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, reservoir characterization, mapping, statistical curvature analysis (SCAT) of image-log and dipmeter data, geographic information systems (GIS), and geo-data management.  Having worked in various capacities as both a geologist and geologic technician, she is uniquely qualified to both efficiently manage and interpret geologic data.  She has participated in many integrated exploration, development, and reserve studies in Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Perú, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Belize, Kuwait, Algeria, Australia, Bulgaria, and Poland.  Her U.S. experience includes the Raton, Powder River, Williston, Uinta, Piceance, Washakie, and Permian Basins, the Wyoming and Appalachian Thrust Belts, the Nevada Great Basin Province, and the Central Kansas Uplift.  Ms. Elliott’s software proficiency includes LandMark’s R5000 / Decision Space Desktop, GeoGraphix, Petra, Kingdom, Transform, Global Mapper, and the creation of advanced macros and data conditioning / sorting in Microsoft Excel. She has been the data manager for many of Lago’s projects, assuring that pertinent client information is correctly maintained and utilized.  She holds a Master of Arts degree in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Oklahoma State University, and is an active member of AAPG, RMAG, and AIPG.
